Samson’s POV

I met Deborah in 2017, she had a presence, she was quiet & composed, and somehow, impossible to overlook. The first time I saw her, she was to introduce herself and she mentioned she was from Egba Diocese. I thought to myself - this is interesting! I felt we might have a few things in common, I had no idea that would be the understatement of my life. The first time we spoke to each other, it went on for over an hour and it felt like five minutes. I walked away thinking: “I want to know her more." Today, I know for sure God placed her in my path because from my POV, I can’t imagine a better story, a better partner, or a better gift. 😎

Debbie’s POV

Before I got into OAU, I had prayed for a loyal friend, someone who would stay close like family, and God answered in the most unexpected way. It wasn’t until the end of my first semester on campus, during a prayer meeting that things shifted. After the meeting, Timi walked up to me and we talked for over an hour. For someone like me who's naturally reserved, it surprised me how effortless the connection felt. From that day, a beautiful friendship began. At first, it was just shared assignments in fellowship and all that, but since that first conversation, my heart already whispered to me: “E be like sey this one na your person ooo.” 😋

Our Love Story

Ours has been a story of grace & growth. We moved from shy introductions to unshakable friendship, from being partners during mission planning to prayer partners, from best friends now to forever. We’ve had Joyful seasons that felt like answered prayers, hard ones that tested our resolve, but one thing is for sure, they all shaped us - teaching us patience, communication, faith, and gentle reassurances that love isn’t always found - it’s built. Through it all, God kept us, grew us, and led us into a love that feels new every day. Now we step into our biggest chapter yet, our season of Newness. 🌿

THE EPILOGUE

"To see clearly with the heart is a gift from God.

For us to be getting married at this period gives an overwhelming feeling of gratitude and rest. But we are equally aware that this is just the beginning of the rest of our lives together and we are deeply grateful and honored that you're joining us to celebrate this special day."
